The Weekly Wacky Welcome – October 12, 2014

A Letter from Paul

Ever try to fly down the highway with your windshield cracked? It’s a pane! You can’t ignore it—it doesn’t go away. It makes it difficult to drive.
Wendy and I have been driving for a combined 65 years. In all the different places that we’ve driven, the valley of the sun is one of the most challenging. We have never had a chip or a crack in the windshield until moving here; we’ve had five windshields cracked here.
What do we do when our windshield cracks? I call my insurance agent and get the windshield replaced and it’s as good as new, shiny and clean. Oooh, it looks good. They even come to me to where I live or work to replace it.
What do we do when we are flying down the highway and we can’t see God in our lives and our lives are cracking apart?
The Good News, my friends, is that God comes and wipes away any dirt or grime on the windshield of our hearts. Call on God. God even will come to where we live or work and replace the glass if necessary. God takes away the pain and gives a new pane, a new way to see!
Shalom, Paul
